As the first person to comment on this movie, I have a lot to say... First of all, this movie is one of my yop favorites. Like my other fave flicks (i.e., The Great Mouse Detective), this is one that easily makes me feel good inside. A perfect movie to watch when you're feeling down & low. Secondly, I don't care what other people say. I believe that Prince is just as great an actor as Morris Day. 'Nuff said. Third, the music for the film is just as excellent as the movie itself. If only we had a separate soundtrack for the instrumental score...that would be sweet, too. Fourth, this movie is also special to me considering the fact that it was my first R-rated movie. "PURPLE RAIN" RULES!!!!!!

I've never seen this movie, which is odd because I am a big fan of the purple pervert's music. Thanks for the recommendation, Mouse Avenger, I shall seal a lifetime of ridicule for myself from my stuffy, old fashioned, sexually insecure mates by watching and enjoying this.

I first saw this movie when I saw my mom watching it (she's a huge fan of Prince). I think it's good, but not really great.

Ah, I'm a fan of O+(>, or Prince, if you want to get technical about it, so I'm a little bit biased when I say that this is a pretty good flick. All of his best songs, IMO, and he held his ground as far as acting goes. I just know it's Prince, and you can't go wrong with that.
